About Small's Property Services

Along Hartland's back roads the dooryards run right up against stone walls stacked long before the pavement, and the sugar maples lean over the ditch line like they're listening. Small's Property Services keeps those yards in trim through the green months — mowing, trimming, the edges kept honest where lawn meets ledge and gravel — so a place reads as cared for from the road. Come the cold, the work starts ahead of the light: driveways opened down toward Route 5 and the river valley, walks cleared, the banks pushed back wide enough for the next storm. There is a plain satisfaction in the result — a clean windrow at the end of the drive, a stripe of cut grass holding its line across a hillside lot, a Hartland dooryard that looks like somebody's got it.
