About MTS Tree Service LLC

Fair Haven keeps one of the widest greens in Vermont, and the trees around it have stood through every wind that ever came off the slate hills to the west. MTS Tree Service LLC works this corner of Rutland County, where the Castleton and the Poultney meet and the ground gives back stone as readily as soil. Pruning is deliberate in a place like this, thinning a maple so it holds less snow, lifting a crown off a slate roof, cutting away the wood a big tree sheds on its own schedule. Removals go in sections, with the granite step and the lilacs coming through untouched. After an ice storm the day starts before light: limbs off the drive, the lane opened, the yard raked clean of the winter's broken wood.
