About Ormond Bushey & Sons Inc.

The Expo grounds sit empty in February, acres of open ground with the wind running clean across them and the snow moving like sand. Ormond Bushey & Sons Inc. works the winter side of Essex Junction, plowing driveways and lots, pushing the banks back before they narrow everything down, and shoveling walks to a surface a person can actually use. Open ground drifts and shaded ground ices, and knowing which property does which is half of doing this well. The good moment comes at the end of a long storm night, when the last drive is squared off and the trucks head in with the blades scraped shiny. Essex Junction, Essex and the towns adjoining, all winter long.
