About Rising Sun Maintenance Inc.

Dorset sits where marble runs close beneath the grass — a valley of white ledge and hayfield edge, sugar maples climbing the flank of Dorset Mountain, and lawns that have to be mown around old stone and shifting mountain light. Rising Sun Maintenance works that ground: lawn care and landscape management through the green months, property care and winterizing before the cold sets its grip, plowing and snow removal when the valley roads go white to the shoulders, and kiln-dried firewood split and delivered for the long dark stretch. There is a plain satisfaction in the finished pass — the mowed line following the contour of the field, the drive opened clean and dark before the village is awake, a yard that looks tended rather than merely kept. They serve Dorset and the surrounding southern Vermont towns, shaping the work to what each property actually asks for rather than fitting it to a set package.
