About McChesney Mowing and Maintenance

Danby's mountain is hollow with marble, and the white stone that came out of it turned up as doorsteps and walkways all through the village below. McChesney Mowing and Maintenance keeps the grass around those steps even — mowing, trimming, edging, and clearing the beds at both ends of the season. The valley narrows here between Dorset Peak and the national forest, which means weather stacks up against the ridges and settles in to stay a while. In winter the plow runs down the same drives, cut back to the pavement so the marble shows again. Danby, Mount Tabor and the towns along Route 7.
