Snow Management Systems

About Snow Management Systems

A driveway opened clean to its gravel edges before the first car door swings — that is the small, exact triumph this work is after. Snow Management Systems handles snow removal out of Colchester, Vermont, where the wind comes off Malletts Bay with nothing in the way to slow it and a squall can fill a parking lot between one hour and the next. There is a real pleasure in the finished line: banks squared at the turnaround, the walk cut wide enough for two to pass, the lot cleared while the streetlights are still burning. By dawn the lake has gone pewter, the Adirondacks stand up blue across the water, and the pavement is simply there again, dark and ready, as if the storm had thought better of it. Colchester and its neighbors along the Champlain shore, kept moving until the thaw.
