About NS Services

Winter reaches Cambridge from the east, off the Green Mountains and down across the state line, and it usually arrives at night. NS Services meets it there — driveways and lots plowed, the road apron cut square, walks cleared and salted so the first person out the door in the morning is not taking a chance. On the open stretches toward Buskirk and White Creek the wind reloads a drive after it has been done, so the route gets run again instead of called finished. There is something clean about a dark, wet driveway at daybreak with the snow stacked neatly along its edges. That is the result worth staying up for.
