Catamount Tree Service

About Catamount Tree Service

Cabot sits high enough that winter arrives early and stays late, and on a January morning the hill farms above the village send their smoke straight up into a hard blue sky. Catamount Tree Service works those ridges and the hollows draining toward Molly's Falls Pond, where the wind has been shaping spruce and maple its own way for a very long time. Cold months are removal months here, with the ground firm, the crowns bare and the lay of every limb plain to see. Summer brings the pruning: hedgerow maples raised off the town road, limbs shortened along a pasture line, deadwood dropped out of a yard tree before it drops itself. And when a heavy storm loads the branches until they snap, the job is immediate and simple, clear the dooryard, clear the lane, and stack what is worth stacking.
