Design services throughout New England; planting and land management services across Vermont with a focus on Burlington and the Champlain Valley.
About Dicot Landscape Studio
Burlington sits on a shelf of clay plain between the Green Mountains and the long blue sheet of Lake Champlain, where the water throws light back up the hill all afternoon and rain runs fast off the old brick and slate toward the Winooski. Dicot Landscape Studio works with that grade rather than against it — naturalistic planting design and ecological site design for homes, institutions, and public ground, with green stormwater and bioengineering work that lets roots hold a bank instead of letting a storm carry it downhill. Before a single plant goes in, they read the land: aerial and topographic surveying, mapping, and analysis, so the drawing matches the actual fall of the ground. Then comes the good part — sourcing plants from growers, setting them, managing the project from scheduling through on-site oversight, and returning for garden care while the planting knits itself closed. Design work reaches across New England; planting and management stay close to home in Vermont and the Champlain Valley, where a well-made garden stands up to a February wind off the lake and comes back greener for it.
