About Green Mountain Gardening

Spring takes its time reaching Brookline. The dirt roads go soft with mud in April, the hillsides stay brown and patient, and then one warm week in May the whole town flushes green at once. Green Mountain Gardening is ready for that turn, looking after the town's lawns with spring cleanup of winter's leftovers, the first mow of the year, and steady cutting and trimming as the season finds its stride. That first cut matters: it sets the height, clears away the matted remains of the snowpack, and lets a yard breathe again. With spring peepers calling from the low wet ground at dusk and fresh-cut grass in the air, a Brookline lawn looks like a promise the season means to keep.
