About Wayside Fences

Wayside Fences works the hill-and-river country where the West River folds into the Connecticut at Brattleboro, with Wantastiquet standing over the water on the New Hampshire shore. The fences are made here, designed and built to a customer's own specifications, then set into Vermont ground so a line runs true across a sloping yard — the kind of edge you notice from the road without quite knowing why. Winter turns the work to snow removal, dooryards and drives opened while the valley is still blue and the brick of Main Street hasn't caught the sun. Across southern Vermont and southern New Hampshire, the result is the reward: a straight run of pickets, a gate that swings clean, a property that reads finished in any light.
