BELLCO EXCAVATION

About BELLCO EXCAVATION

BELLCO EXCAVATION works the snow off the ground where the West River bends into the Connecticut and Brattleboro's brick blocks lean down toward the water. Winter arrives here on the wind off Wantastiquet, filling driveways cut sideways into hillsides and dooryards tucked behind old maples, and the plow answers it in the dark hours before anyone is awake. There is a plain pleasure in the finished line — pavement showing black again, banks laid back square, a turnaround wide enough to swing a truck without a second thought. That is the work: snow plowing and snow removal for the driveways and lots of Brattleboro and the valley towns around it, cleared once and cleared again for as long as the storm asks. By the time the light comes up gray over the ridge, the way out is open.
