Then the softer half of the trade — landscape design and construction, hardscaping, brush and tree removal, hydroseeding and sod, field mowing and brush hogging, lawn care for the houses on the hill roads and the commercial lots down in town. When a storm banks up along the ridgelines, it becomes snow and ice management: a lot swept clear and treated while the streets are still dark.
