About Scotty's Lawn & Landscaping

By late October the sweetgums on Ballard Street let go all at once, and the air above the Victory Monument turns that rinsed blue that only arrives behind a front. Scotty's Lawn & Landscaping works Yorktown through the leaf season and the growing one both — mowing and edging all summer, then the rakes, blowers and hauling that put a yard to bed. Mulch goes down in spring, beds get cut back and shaped, and the border stays defined where lawn meets pine straw. There is something satisfying about a property cleared of leaves in November: grass green again underneath, the walk swept, the whole place looking wider than it did that morning. Then the pin oaks drop their last, and it gets done properly one more time.
