About Whalens lawn & tree services

By September the light out toward Rural Retreat comes in at a slant that makes everything look freshly painted, and the grass finally slows down enough to catch its breath. Whalens lawn & tree services is still going then, cutting on a longer interval, trimming the edges tight, clearing yards of everything the wind has been dropping since August. There is something particularly satisfying about the late-season cuts — cooler air, no hurry, a lawn heading into fall looking cared for instead of abandoned. The route runs the same roads out through Max Meadows and back into town. Every yard on it gets the same attention.
