Barr's Lawn and Handyman Service

About Barr's Lawn and Handyman Service

The Old Valley Pike runs the length of Woodstock like a seam, and the lawns along it wake early — dew on the blades, limestone showing gray through the pasture beyond. Barr's Lawn and Handyman Service works those yards on the schedule the season sets, mowing, trimming and edging until a property reads clean from the road. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass along a walk, where the blade line meets concrete and nothing is left ragged. Spring brings the fast growth, midsummer the slower weeks, and autumn a long haul of leaves off the grass before frost settles into the low fields. It is ordinary work done in a beautiful stretch of the valley, and it shows in the shape of a yard at day's end.
