About PLM Inc.

Long after the last car leaves Smoketown Road, the big lots off Potomac Mills sit empty under sodium light, and that is when the plowing gets done. PLM Inc. handles that night shift across Woodbridge, stacking snow where it will not swallow parking spaces, scraping down to the surface and salting the lanes before the first delivery truck arrives. Commercial ground has its own logic: entrances first, then fire lanes, then the sidewalk fronting every door. Mid-Atlantic storms like to switch over to sleet around midnight, which means the job is never finished in one lap. By the time the sky goes gray over the Occoquan, the pavement is open, the walks are gritted, and the morning simply begins on schedule.
