About Palacios landscaping

Marumsco Creek runs low and brown through the flats, and after a storm the ground beside it holds cold the way only wet clay can. Palacios landscaping plows and shovels the Woodbridge streets on that side of town, working the heavy, water-logged snow the tidal Potomac tends to send inland. Weight is the whole story here; six inches of this stuff carries the heft of a foot from farther north, and it sets up like mortar if you leave it. The answer is early passes, a squared-off apron at the street, and salt on the walk before anyone steps out. When the sun finally breaks and the creek starts running again, the drives are already dry and dark and open.
