Late February in the valley is a tug of war: the sun gets strong enough to soften the pavement by afternoon, and by nightfall everything that melted has frozen hard again. Nick's Landscape & Grounds plows and clears through that stretch south of Winchester toward Lake Frederick and Armel, where a driveway can look fine at four and be treacherous by seven. Getting the snow moved off the surface entirely, rather than leaving a skim to refreeze, is what makes the difference on those days. Storms this late are heavy and wet and demand real pushing, and they get it. Winter loosens its grip here slowly, so the work stays on call until it does.
