Scapes, Inc.

About Scapes, Inc.

Three in the morning, thirty degrees, and the lot lights are the only thing awake for a mile. Scapes, Inc. is out in that hour with a blade down, pushing to the corners, opening lanes and walkways well before anybody's alarm goes off. Snow in the Piedmont often falls wet and heavy, then stops and hardens, which makes ice treatment as much of the job as the pushing. Plowing, shoveling entrances, salting the approaches, and setting the piles where the melt will not run back across the pavement and freeze again. Nobody notices work done right, and that is exactly the point. Lots and drives across Manassas, Gainesville, Bristow and Linton Hall.
