Earth & Turf

About Earth & Turf

Warrenton is horse country with a courthouse at its heart: a white cupola rising over the brick storefronts of Old Town, and beyond the edges of town, board fences and stone walls tracing pastures toward the blue line of the mountains. Earth & Turf cares for lawns in this Fauquier County seat, where green ground is part of the landscape's whole language. Mowing in even rows, trimming along walls and walkways, and seasonal cleanups when the maples let go keep a Warrenton yard in step with the fields that surround it. On a September afternoon, with light raking low across the hunt country, a well-groomed lawn shines like a well-groomed horse. Earth below, turf above — the name tells the whole story.
