About Tip Top Yard Care & More

There is an hour in Kempsville, somewhere past three in the morning, when a cold rain stops being rain. Out by Stumpy Lake the cypress go silver, the road takes on a shine it shouldn't have, and Tip Top Yard Care & More is already moving — plowing, shoveling the walks, spreading salt and sand on the steps and slopes where ice gets stubborn. Virginia Beach is flat enough that a storm here is mostly a question of surfaces, so much of the craft is knowing which driveway holds water and which one drains. Cleared before the school buses, cleared before the first shift starts — that is the whole measure of the night. None of it is loud work, and that is exactly the intent: come daylight the street looks like the storm simply passed it by.
