About Steadman Outdoor Services, LLC

Along Shore Drive the live oaks lean the way the wind taught them, and on the rare mornings when Virginia Beach wakes up white, Steadman Outdoor Services, LLC is already out under them. Salt air and cold do strange things to pavement here — a thin glaze that looks like nothing at all until a shoe finds it — so the work runs from plowing and shoveling walkways to salting and sanding the corners the sun won't reach until noon. There is a plain satisfaction in a lot cleared before the first car turns in, the asphalt dark and bare again. Ice work around Bayside and Little Creek means reading the shade as carefully as the forecast. When the bay wind finally swings around and the melt starts running for the storm drains, the proof of the day is a street that never had to think about it.
