Marshall's Mowing

About Marshall's Mowing

Vesuvius sits in a notch at the foot of the Blue Ridge, where South River comes down out of the mountains cold and fast and the Parkway rides the ridgeline overhead. Marshall's Mowing works the yards in those hollows, mowing and trimming ground that rarely agrees to be flat. Summer mornings begin under fog that fills the valley to the treetops and then lifts all at once, and by then the mower is already turning. Steep lawns take patience and a good line; done right, the stripes follow the contour and the whole slope looks combed. There is not much level land around here, which is precisely what makes a well-cut yard worth stopping to look at.
