About Eddies Excavating Inc

Wind comes down the valley at Verona with nothing much to slow it, and in January it takes whatever fell overnight and stacks it against every building along the I-81 corridor. Eddies Excavating Inc runs snow through those hours, plowing commercial lots and long farm lanes and pushing drifts back to where the next gust has less to work with. Heavy ground calls for heavy iron; a lane running a half mile between fence rows is not a shovel job. Salting the approaches and the slick spots is the final pass, done at first light with the sky still the color of tin. Trucks roll, gates open, and the day happens on schedule.
