About Tuckahoe DreamScapes

Snow on River Road makes the old boxwoods at Tuckahoe Plantation look like they are carrying something, and at first light the whole stretch out that way is one unbroken white. Tuckahoe DreamScapes has usually finished by then — plowing driveways, opening walkways to the door, salting the steps before anyone in the house is awake. The best version of this work is invisible: you look out at a buried world and your own pavement is simply clear. Storms here can turn to freezing rain by morning, so a drive gets treated as well as cleared. Waking up to a way out is the entire gift of it.
