About Southern Exposure Tree Service

October along River Road is a long gold tunnel, and beneath it the yards of Tuckahoe hold some of the oldest hardwoods in western Henrico. Southern Exposure Tree Service tends that canopy: pruning to keep a willow oak balanced above the driveway, tree trimming where limbs have reached the roof, removal for the poplar gone brittle over the patio. Down toward the James the ground drops away and the soil changes, so a tree there wants a different read than one up near Tuckahoe Creek. Storm damage cleanup follows the hard summer weather that comes up the river valley and puts limbs across half a neighborhood at once. When the truck pulls out, leaves are still falling — but only the ones that are supposed to.
