About Slade & Sons Lawn Care

High summer in Surry comes in thick and green, with Tidewater air so heavy it holds the scent of mown grass for an hour after the mower has gone. Slade & Sons Lawn Care keeps pace with that growth, from the yards near the county courthouse to homes set back along the roads that meet at the center of town. Mowing, string trimming along ditches and drives, edging where turf meets pavement, and a last sweep of the clippings set the rhythm of each visit. Out here, where cotton and peanut rows own the horizon, a neat lawn is a small square of order in a wide, generous landscape. At dusk the stripes pick up the last of the light.
