Stevens Lawn and Sidewalk Service

About Stevens Lawn and Sidewalk Service

Downtown Suffolk keeps its old bones: Main Street brick, deep front porches, the rail line running past the depot out toward the peanut country west of town. Stevens Lawn and Sidewalk Service looks after the ground around all of it — mowing and trimming, and the sidewalk work most people only notice when it has not been done, with the turf cut back off the concrete, joints cleared, walks swept clean of clippings and leaves. October is the honest test, when the maples let go all at once and a walk can disappear by Tuesday afternoon. Winning it back is the good part: a straight groove where grass meets pavement, an open path to the front steps, the whole block looking like someone is paying attention. The truck runs from the historic streets out to Driver and Holland and back again.
