About Duncan Enterprises

Fog sits on the North Fork behind the town park most June mornings, then lifts and leaves everything green and heavy with water. That is when Duncan Enterprises starts cutting — mowing on a schedule the grass can keep up with, trimming around posts, beds and play sets, edging the drive so the lawn stops in a line instead of a fray. A Strasburg summer can swing from six inches of rain to four dry weeks, and reading a lawn through both of those is most of the craft. Autumn turns the work to leaves, carried off before they mat down and sour the turf underneath. Every yard gets left the way its owner would leave it, given the afternoon and the machine.
