Clean As Snow

About Clean As Snow

Snow in Sterling usually begins at night, small flakes slanting past a streetlight while the road is still black and wet. Clean As Snow is out in it, plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and walkways, treating the places that will glaze once the wind turns. Storms up the coast dump heavy, wet inches; the dry ones off the northwest leave less but pack it hard. By morning the pavement is dark again and the piles are stacked where they won't block anyone's sightline. A storm you can sleep through is the entire idea.
