About Knight's Third Generation Services LLC

Snow comes into the Naked Creek hollows sideways sometimes, and a storm that drops four inches in town will leave a good deal more up against the mountain. Knight's Third Generation Services LLC runs through nights like that, plowing driveways and parking areas, shoveling steps and porches, and salting the sheet ice that forms where meltwater crosses a lane. In the dark the world narrows to a blade and a cone of falling flakes; by sunrise it opens back out into a clean drive and a valley gone white and quiet. Getting people out to work, to school, to the barn — that is the whole of it. The routes cover Stanley and the communities toward Jollett, Alma and Shenandoah.
