About Mauro’s Tree Service, LLC

Ice is the quiet trouble here — a January glaze on the hollies and pin oaks of Springfield's cul-de-sacs, pretty for an hour and heavy for a week. Mauro's Tree Service, LLC prunes with that in mind, thinning weight out of a crown before winter has a chance to test it, trimming branches back off eaves and parked cars. Removal is for the tree that has already lost the argument — split at the crotch, hollow at the base, better down on purpose than down by surprise. When the storm gets there first, storm damage cleanup clears the drive and the walk so nobody has to shovel around a mess. A dark morning, headlights on, a driveway that opens up: that is a good start to a day.
