About Big Steve's Tree Care
Springfield came up under trees that were already tall — willow oaks and tulip poplars set out beside new brick houses, now stretching over rooflines they were never measured for. Big Steve's Tree Care spends April in those yards on the slope down toward Accotink Creek, pruning for light and air, trimming the limbs that have started to argue with a gutter. Removal is the last word, saved for the trunk gone hollow or the stem that has crowded a foundation past reasoning. And when a spring storm rakes the neighborhood, storm damage cleanup turns a scattered morning back into an ordinary one. Green comes fast here in April, and the work is making sure the biggest thing in the yard can carry it.
