About Alex's Lawn Service, INC.

Rolling Road keeps its gray a little while after sunup, and that is the hour Alex's Lawn Service, INC. gets moving — dew still beaded on the fescue, the ground cool enough to cut clean. Springfield front yards ask a mower to handle slopes, red clay and the deep shade of old hardwoods, sometimes all in a single lot. Mowing, edging, string trimming and seasonal cleanups are the whole of the trade here, done in the order a lawn actually needs them. The satisfaction is in the finish: lines running true to the walk, blades standing back up by evening, not a clipping left on the concrete. It is ordinary work, and it makes a street look loved.
