About Boyd Bros

A storm hits Hull Street all at once, curb to curb, the way old commercial streets always take weather. By then Boyd Bros has the truck loaded and the route set in order, because the few inches Manchester gets are enough to turn shopfront aprons and back lots into ground nobody can cross. Plowing starts early and the salt goes down where the buildings keep the sun off from morning to night. There is real satisfaction in a lot scraped to bare pavement with the piles pushed off to a corner where they block no sightline, and in walks taken down to the grain of the concrete. When the doors open the next morning, the only evidence of the night is a white heap beside the fence.
