About Air Side Lawn Services

The windsock at the airfield outside South Boston tells you the day before the forecast does, standing straight out on a raw morning and hanging slack by noon in July. Air Side Lawn Services works that open ground and the yards around it — wide mowing passes, edging along drives and walks, fence lines trimmed, leaves cleared once the hardwoods let go across Halifax County. Winter here is mostly mud and wind, but when ice or snow does arrive the same trucks are out plowing and salting before the roads sort themselves out. Flat open acreage cuts fast and shows every crooked line, so the lines don't get to be crooked. There is a plainness to that kind of work that suits this corner of Virginia.
