About Mayfield Lawn

Deep July: heat sitting still in the street, the shade pooled under the trees, the whole town waiting on an afternoon breeze. Mayfield Lawn keeps the yards through it — mowing on a set schedule, trimming around posts, foundations and beds, edging the walks, and clearing the clippings so the sidewalk stays clean behind the truck. Grass answers hot weather by growing sideways and then quitting, so how it gets cut in July matters more than it looks. Cleanups bookend the year, and the leaves get moved before winter can hold them down. Nothing dramatic about any of it — just a lawn that always looks like somebody was there on time.
