About Shenks Services, Inc.

Weather funnels down the Page Valley between the Blue Ridge and Massanutten, and Shenandoah gets the full length of it, summer and winter alike. Shenks Services, Inc. covers both ends: mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups while the valley is green, then plowing, walk clearing and de-icing when it turns white above the South Fork. Snow up here often arrives as a mountain event first and a town event second — deep on the ridge, wet and stubborn down in the bottom. Drives get opened early enough for the first shift, walks scraped to the concrete, and the slick apron at the street handled before anyone reaches it. It is undramatic work that decides how a whole neighborhood's morning goes.
