About Harmon Mowing and Landscaping

Four in the morning on the Shawneeland roads and the only things awake are the plow and the deer. Harmon Mowing and Landscaping runs those mountain lanes when it snows — driveways cut into the slope, switchback approaches, walkways and steps opened and salted so the day can proceed. Up against the western ridges the snow lands deeper than it does down in the valley, and it lingers because the sun barely reaches half these lots. Clearing a steep drive means working it in stages, from the top down, with the piles set where meltwater will not run back across the pavement and freeze. By the time headlights start coming down off the mountain, the lanes and drives are ready for them.
