About Turf Commander, LLC

Southside's red clay goes pale and strange under snow, and in Scottsburg the change is startling: tobacco barns softened into white shapes, pine boughs bent low over quiet county roads. Storms come seldom here but can be stubborn, a wet snow over ice that lingers in the shade of the woods. When one does, Turf Commander, LLC is out clearing driveways and walkways so the town can move again. In the slanting light of a winter afternoon, the Staunton River country hushed all around, a cleared drive is a small, bright act of order.
