About Joe's landscaping an handy works

Late in the day the farm lanes out toward Ladysmith and Woodford go gold, and the last mowing pass of the afternoon throws a long shadow across the grass. That is Joe's landscaping an handy works' hour — mowing, trimming, edging and yard cleanup for homes around Ruther Glen, done at the pace a place like this actually keeps. Broomsedge crowds the fence lines out here, and a lawn is the one square of green a household decides to keep tidy on purpose, so it earns the effort. Spring brings growth that will not quit and October brings the leaves, and both get handled before either one gets ahead of anybody. Nothing fancy in it — just a yard squared away, week after week, until it becomes the thing you stop noticing because it is always right.
