About Jarvis Tree Services

Up on the Wythe County plateau the winters mean it — clear cold, wind across the cabbage ground, ice riming the lake at Rural Retreat while the mountains to the south hold their snow. Jarvis Tree Services works right through it: pruning while the wood is dormant, trimming limbs off metal roofs and power drops, removing the white pine that will not take another season standing. When ice loads a canopy overnight and a limb comes down across the lane, storm damage cleanup opens the drive and gets the wood out of the way. Cold work goes fine if it is planned — footing checked, ropes set, the tree brought down exactly where it was said it would come down. Come spring, the trees left standing look like somebody was paying attention.
