About Roanoke Landscapes

October in Old Southwest is a slow gold avalanche — big street maples and sycamores letting go over porches, iron fences and a hundred small front yards at once. Roanoke Landscapes works straight through it, clearing leaves off turf and out of beds, mowing while the fescue still asks for it, cutting edges back sharp along the walks near Highland Park. Fall is also the season that decides next summer here, so mulching and overseeding travel with the cleanup. Come spring the same yards green early under the same old trees, and the work shows. A tidy lawn beneath a hundred-year canopy is a particular kind of good-looking.
