Ortega's Lawn Care

About Ortega's Lawn Care

At daybreak in Richmond the dew silvers the open ground and sits heavy on every lawn on the route until the sun gets up. Ortega's Lawn Care makes the first cut of the week in it, mower blades throwing a wet ribbon of grass while the air is still cool enough to work in. Full sun makes for grass that grows uneven if it is left too long, so the schedule is held and the height is kept honest, with the trimmer following the fence posts, tree trunks and mailbox where the deck cannot go. Edges are cut along the drive, the walks are blown clear, and the clippings leave with the truck rather than baking on the pavement. By midmorning the lot is done and the yard has the look it should have: wide, open, and cleanly kept.
