About Midlo Lawns

Midlothian sits up on the old coal country west of the city, where the ground rolls and the cul-de-sacs curve back on themselves. Ice arrives there first, a freezing drizzle that beads on car roofs and turns a sloped driveway into something nobody should walk. Midlo Lawns runs the blade and the shovel through those nights, opening drives, walks and lots and spreading salt where shade keeps a patch frozen past noon. A cleared apron in front of a garage door is a small thing until the morning you need it. Out past Robious and toward the Huguenot Bridge, that is the entire job.
