G & R Lawn Care

About G & R Lawn Care

Lakeside in July smells like cut grass and tomatoes from the roadside stands, and the days turn humid well before six. G & R Lawn Care runs mowing, trimming and edging straight through those long weeks, keeping the wide flat yards north of the city from getting away from anybody. The ground out here is Virginia red clay, which means a lawn rewards patience more than hurry — cut at the right height, keep the blade sharp, come back when you said. Autumn brings the cleanup: leaves off the beds, the last pass of the year set a little lower. The pleasure of it is simple, a straight line where turf meets driveway and a yard that holds its shape until the next visit.
