About Altizer Lawn & Landscape LLC

Out east toward Varina the land flattens and opens, and the wind comes across the river bottoms with nothing to slow it down. In October it carries half the county's leaves into fence corners and along the edges of long gravel drives, and that is when Altizer Lawn & Landscape LLC does some of its best work — mowing the last cuts of the year, edging the drive back to a straight line, trimming what the season left ragged, and clearing the yard down to bare, tidy ground. A property that has been put right for winter has a particular calm to it, the kind you notice from the road. Through the growing months the same yards get their regular cuts, week by week, through Richmond's long green summer. It is unglamorous work, and it shows every single time.
