About RL Wood & Company

Cold gets into a Tazewell County valley and stays there, so a Richlands snow rarely melts on its own schedule — it waits for a plow. RL Wood & Company runs snow removal through those stretches, opening driveways and commercial lots, clearing entries and walkways, and treating surfaces that ice back over once the sun drops behind the ridge in mid-afternoon. January nights start early here and run long, and the work keeps the same hours. Pushing a lot clean from one end to the other, piling the snow where it will not drain across a traffic lane, is the sort of problem that has a right answer. Getting it right before the town wakes up is the good part.
