Above and Beyond Lawn Services

About Above and Beyond Lawn Services

Reedville runs out along Cockrell's Creek almost to the Chesapeake, one long street of tall old houses with water on both sides and boats working out past the point. Above and Beyond Lawn Services keeps the grass of that Northumberland County shoreline — mowing, edging, trimming, and the cleanups a windy Bay autumn makes necessary. Salt air and sandy soil are their own problem; a lawn here has to be coaxed rather than commanded, and turf near the water asks for different attention than the yards back toward the highway. When it comes together on a June afternoon, striped and edged with the creek glittering behind it, it is a picture worth the trouble. That view is half the reason people live out here, and a clean yard is the frame around it.
